Herman Cain...Bill Clinton

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the Republican hopeful nomination for presidency  Herman Cain. Well he has been involved in a lot of scandals lately. A few women have come forward in the past couple of months saying that Cain has had some type of affair with them and other allegations have been made between him and other women as well. With all the allegations I'm not nor is Cain sure if it will be enough to withdraw from the GOP contest or not. I wonder how his wife feels about these allegations and if she believes them. I know his family is hurting right now because of it. I feel bad because I feel like a person like Herman Cain are giving men a bad reputation especially as a father and a husband. It just takes me back to the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky scandal. It's showing that men in power try to use their power to their advantage, which isn't right. Not all men or political figures are Herman Cain or Bill Clinton. Do you think that Political leaders such as Cain and Clinton are giving men a bad name? Below is a video of the most recent accusation against Cain and Cain denying the 13-year affair.

  1. Great topic! To respond on your question asked in your post my answer is yes. Men that do things like this are bad examples of honest respectable men. It makes women think or at least me, where did all the good men go? It is so hard to find honest respectable men who are going to stay truthful to a relationship. Not only does this effect women's view on men, but men watching and hearing about these "respectable" men doing it, it makes them think it is ok to do it as well. Men these days are very disrespectful towards women and it is because they think they can do this to women because they are dominant an can do what they want without any repercussions. These men are not honest and shouldn't be respected by any one, but if people don't stand up and show others that lien and cheating is wrong, then our society of men will never change.

  2. I do think they give politicians a bad name but we as a society know by now that there is no reason to trust a politician when it comes to their personal lives and Clinton and Cain weren't the first ones to start this trend. Clinton's was probably the one the media took advantage of the most because he was president at the time and technology and social media wasn't the way it is now. Because of this it is hard for me to think that Cain might be telling the truth especially when he said that he hadn't had a romantic relationship with the other woman but his wife didn't know about his friendship with her. If it was just a friendship why didn't his wife now? It just seems suspicious and it doesn't help that women keep coming out of the woodwork to accuse him of harassment.
